What size unit is best for me?

You are the best judge of how much space you need! We’ve created this guide below to help you visualize the dimensions of a unit. We recommend creating a list of items you’ll be storing ahead of renting a unit. Consider how many boxes you anticipate having and rough dimensions of the larger items you’ll store.

Keep in mind this is just a guide:

5 x 10 units (50 square feet): Size is equivalent to a walk in closet! Contents of an average size bedroom should fit. An average of 20 medium to large boxes. Small furniture. Ideal for outdoor furniture, kayaks or small seasonal equipment.

10 x 10 units (100 square feet): Size is equivalent to an average bedroom! Contents of a 1 bedroom apartment or general living area of a small home should fit. An average of 50 medium to large boxes. Ideal for furniture storage, outdoor furniture or seasonal equipment.

10 x 15 units (150 square feet): Size is equivalent to a large bedroom! Contents of a 2 bedroom apartment should fit. An average of 60 medium to large boxes. Ideal for home appliances, furniture, motorcycles or small vehicles.

10 x 20 units (200 square feet): Size is equivalent to an average living room! Contents of a 3 bedroom apartment or equivalent sized home should fit. An average of 125 medium to large boxes. Ideal for home appliances, living room furniture, tv’s. This size unit is also ideal for some vehicles — Be sure to measure the width, length and height of your vehicle before renting! 

10×30 units (300 square feet): Size is equivalent to an average 2 car garage! Contents of a 1200-1800 sq. ft. home should fit. Unit is ideal for holding the entire contents of your home – including furniture, appliances, beds and neatly packed boxes. This size unit is also ideal for larger vehicles.
